This past weekend marked one of my favorite traditions in Wrentham: the opening day parade for the Wrentham Youth Baseball & Softball Association (WYBSA). The energy, the smiles, and the sight of so many kids ready to kick off another great season reminded me why this community means so much to me.

This year felt extra special because my business, 13th Mile Marketing, proudly joined the lineup of local sponsors supporting WYBSA. As a board member and coach for both of my sons’ teams, I’ve seen firsthand how much time, dedication, and teamwork go into making this league such an amazing experience for our kids. Being able to contribute not only as a parent and coach but also through my business felt like a meaningful way to give back to the league that gives so much back to the town and our kids.
Saturday’s parade through the center of town was a true celebration of community spirit. My T-ball team, the Orioles, marched proudly carrying our new sponsor banner…a fun moment of pride for the kids and for me as a coach and business owner. The opening ceremony was capped off perfectly when my younger son, Camden, had the honor of closing out the show by shouting those two magical words every baseball player loves to hear: “Play ball!”
After the festivities, I managed to snap what’s already become one of my favorite photos: Camden and my oldest, Bryce, standing beside me on the field, all of us in uniform and holding the 13th Mile Marketing banner. It’s a snapshot that captures everything I value most: family, community, teamwork, and the opportunity to use my business to help others succeed. My only regret was not getting my wife in the photo, but she took a great photo for us, and we’ll get one once the banner is up on the field later this season.
Here’s to a great season ahead for the Orioles, the Cubs, and the rest of the WYBSA (except when they play us!), and to supporting the people and organizations that make Wrentham such a wonderful place to live, play, and grow.
